It is not always a necessity but clients and employers may expect you to have an NVQ and some local authorities will require it.
Qualifications are a mark of your professionalism and provide evidence that you take your occupation seriously. After you have completed your course with The Nail Academy and start working as a nail technician you will begin accruing the evidence needed for your NVQ which is experience based. When the time is right for you, you can register for your NVQ
Your local job centre will be able to tell you what/if any government schemes might be available. There are also some charitable grants and loans available to help with payment of your training course. (For instance the Princes Trust). Check your local area for opportunities like this. Eligibility criteria applies, so you will need to discuss your personal circumstances with the organisation concerned.
We don’t offer instalments but you can stagger your payments up until you are ready to join your chosen course. Alternatively you can pay by Paypal giving you the option to link your chosen credit card.
Don’t be deceived! On our four day course you will be learning for approximately 6 hours a day, that’s 24 hours. You will also have your model to do your first full set of nail enhancements on a day 3 and full rebalance on day 4 – all in the safety of the classroom environment.
You will receive a large professional student kit with enough product for more than 30 sets of nail enhancements and the loan of a high quality nail trainer with fully articulated fingers and replaceable nail plates. A refundable deposit of £100 is required.
